The light within

 
when a soul shines
truly shines

the heart knows

for a true light
is not a pose

when one shines
you see
there is no glee

no rhyme
nor prose

for thine own light
is surely felt

as a warm glow
amidst a darkened night

or a long awaited breath
exhaling unrest

light
surely shines

if we let it be

for thine own light
is surely felt
beyond what anyone can see

if we simply set it free
